THE BOOK OF DANIEL

Daniel Chapter 12

¶ At that time Michael, the great prince who protects the children of your people will rise up: and there will be a time of trouble, such as there never was from when there were nations to that time: and at that time your people will be delivered, every one who is found written in the book.

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

And those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens; and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

But you, O Daniel, keep these words, and seal the book, until the time of the end: many will search it carefully, and knowledge will be increased.

¶ Then I Daniel looked, and saw two others standing there, one on one side of the river, and the other on the other side of the river.

And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long will it be until these wonders are complete?

And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it will be for a time, times, and half a time; for when the power of the holy people has been totally crushed, all these things will be over.

And I heard, but I did not understand: then I said, O my Lord, what will be the outcome of these things?

And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

Many will be purified, and made white, and refined; but the wicked will do wickedly: and none of the wicked will understand; but the wise will understand.

And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there will be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

But go your way till the end: for you will rest, and rise for what is allotted to you at the end of time.
