THE BOOK OF EZEKIEL

Ezekiel Chapter 2

¶ And he said to me, Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will talk to you.

And as he spoke to me the spirit entered into me, and set me on my feet, and I listened as he talked to me.

And he said to me, Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me: they and their ancestors have sinned against me, to this very day.

For they are defiant and stubborn children. I am sending you to them; and you will say to them, This is what the Lord GOD says.

And whether they will listen, or refuse to listen, (for they are a rebellious house,) they will know that there has been a prophet among them.

¶ But you, son of man, do not be afraid of them, or afraid of what they say, though they defy and resist you like briers and thorns, and you live among scorpions: do not be afraid of their words, or frightened by their looks, because they are a rebellious house.

You are to tell them what I say, whether they listen, or refuse to listen: because they are rebellious.

But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you; Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house: open your mouth, and eat what I am about to give you.

And as I looked, I saw a hand stretched out to me; and there was a scroll in it;

And he spread it out before me; and there was writing on both the front and back: and words of lamentation, mourning, and woe were written on it.
