1 ¶ The word of the LORD again came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, turn your face toward the Ammonites, and prophesy against them;

3 And say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; The Lord GOD says; Because you yelled, Yes, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;

4 Know therefore, that I will hand you over to the tribes of the east, and they will occupy your land, and set up their encampments and pitch their tents among you: they will eat your fruit, and they will drink your milk.

5 And I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels, and Ammon a place where sheep lie down: and you will know that I am the LORD.

6 For the Lord GOD says; Because you clapped your hands, stamped your feet, and were delighted because of your spite against the land of Israel;

7 Know therefore, that I will stretch out my hand upon you, and will hand you over to the heathen as spoil; and will eliminate you from the nations, and wipe you out as a country: and destroy you; and you will know that I am the LORD.

8 ¶ The Lord GOD says; Because Moab and Seir say, Look, the people of Judah are no different than the heathen;

9 Therefore, know that I am about to open Moab’s flank so that its cities will be laid bare from border to border, the beautiful country of Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,

10 Just as with the Ammonites I will allow Moab to be occupied by the people of the east, so that neither they nor the Ammonites will be remembered among the nations.

11 And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they will know that I am the LORD.

12 The Lord GOD says; Because of what Edom did when they took revenge on the house of Judah, loading themselves with guilt as they took revenge;

13 Therefore the Lord GOD says; I will also stretch out my fist against Edom, and will wipe out man and beast from it; and I will turn the country to ruins from Teman to Dedan; and they will fall by the sword.

14 And I will use my people to take vengeance on Edom: and they will deal with Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they will know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD.

15 The Lord GOD says; Because of what the Philistines did in taking revenge, by taking vengeance with a spiteful heart, to destroy in a never ending hate;

16 Therefore the Lord GOD says; Behold, I will stretch out my fist against the Philistines, and wipe out the Cherethites, and destroy the people left along the sea coast.

17 And I will execute fierce vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they will know that I am the LORD, when I take my vengeance upon them.
