THE BOOK OF HOSEA

Hosea Chapter 3

1 ¶ Then the LORD said to me, Go, and again love a woman who is loved by her friend, yet an adulteress, just as the LORD has loved the children of Israel, while they turn to other gods, and love cakes of raisins.

2 So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver, and for a homer of barley, and a half homer of barley:

3 And I said to her, You must wait for me for many days; you must not be a prostitute, or offer yourself to any man: and I will act the same way toward you.

4 For the children of Israel will live many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without a priestly garment, and without household images:

5 Afterward the children of Israel will return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and will fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
