THE BOOK OF ISAIAH

Isaiah Chapter 4

1 ¶ At that time seven women will take hold of one man, and say, We will eat our own food, and provide our own clothes: only let us be called by your name, to take away our disgrace.

2 ¶ At that time the branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth will be excellent and lovely for those who escaped in Israel.

3 And it will come to pass, that whoever is left in Zion, and still alive in Jerusalem, will be called holy, even every one who is written among the living in Jerusalem:

4 After the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and cleansed the blood stains from the midst of Jerusalem by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

5 Then the LORD will create over every dwelling on mount Zion, and its assemblies, a cloud of smoke by day, and a flaming fire shining at night: for glory will be over everything like a canopy.

6 And a shelter for shade against the heat of the day, and a place of refuge, and protection from storm and rain.
