BOOK OF ISAIAH
Isaiah Chapter 52
1
¶ Awake, awake; put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O
Jerusalem, the holy city: for never again will an unclean or an uncircumcised person
come into you.
2
Arise, shake off the dust; sit erect, O Jerusalem: remove the chains from your
neck, O captive daughter of
3
For the LORD says, You have sold yourselves for nothing; and you will be bought
back without money.
4
For the Lord GOD says, In the past my people went down into
5
And now, what do I have here, asks the LORD. My people are taken away without a
price? and their rulers are mocked, says the LORD; and my name is
blasphemed all day long.
6
Therefore my people will know my name: at that time they will know that
I am the one who speaks: behold, it is I.
7
¶ How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the one who brings good
tidings, who announces peace; who proclaims the good news of our salvation; who
says to

Listen! your watchmen are raising their voices; and singing together for joy:
for every eye shall see, when the LORD returns to
9
Be joyful, and join together in song, you waste places of
10
The LORD has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the
ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.
11
Depart, leave, go away from there, do not touch any unclean thing; leave
the midst of
12
For you will not leave in a hurry, or flee: for the LORD will go before you;
and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.
13
¶ Behold, my servant will be successful, he will rise, be lifted up on high,
and exalted.
14
Many were amazed at him; his appearance was more disfigured than any man, and
his form more than the sons of men:
15
So he shall sprinkle many nations; kings will stand in silence before him:
having never been told what they now see; and never understood what they now
hear.
