THE BOOK OF ZECHARIAH

Zechariah Chapter 13

¶ At that time there will be a fountain opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

And it will come to pass at that time, says the LORD of hosts, that I will remove the names of idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered: and I will also rid the land of false prophets and the unclean spirit.

And it will come to pass, that if anyone again prophesies, then his father and his mother who gave him birth will say to him, You shall not live; for you speak lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother who gave him birth will thrust him through when he prophesies.

And it will come to pass in that day, that each of the prophets will be ashamed of his vision, after he has prophesied; nor will they wear a rough garment to deceive:

But he will say, I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the soil; for I have been bound to the soil from my youth.

And one will ask him, What are these wounds in your hands? Then he will answer, I got these wounds in the home of a friend.

¶ Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is my associate, says the LORD of hosts: strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered: then I will turn my hand against the little ones.

And it will come to pass, that in all the land, says the LORD, two thirds of the people will be cut down and die; but a third will be left in it.

And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they will call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, They are my people: and they will say, The LORD is my God.
