1 ¶ Again I turned, and lifted up my eyes, and looked, and, behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

2 Red horses pulled the first chariot; and black horses pulled the second chariot;

3 And white horses pulled the third chariot; and strong dappled horses pulled the fourth chariot.

4 Then I asked the angel who was talking with me, What are these, my lord?

5 And the angel answered by saying to me, These are the four winds of heaven, which are going out after presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.

6 The one with black horses is going into the north country; and the white are following them; but the dappled are going toward the south.

7 These strong horses were leaving, eager to go so that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Go, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.

8 Then he called to me, and said to me, Behold, those who went to the northern country have given my spirit rest in the north country.

9 ¶ And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

10 Accept donations from those in captivity, even from Heldai, Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, who have come from Babylon, and go this very day into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;

11 Then take silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;

12 And say to him, This is what the LORD of hosts says, Behold there will be a man whose name is The BRANCH; and he will grow up from where he is planted, and he will build the temple of the LORD:

13 Yes he will build the temple of the LORD; and he will bear the glory, and will sit and rule on his throne; and he will be a priest on his throne: and both offices will agree together for peace.

14 And the crown will reside in the temple of the LORD, as a reminder to Heldai, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah.

15 And those who are far away will come and help build the temple of the LORD, and you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And this will come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
